Shadows especially makes a large difference. Oh shadows, fulls screen glow and death effect are all at zero or disabled too. It's surprising just how much difference in FPS/lag pulling those two down does.

I run full high video settings except distance and environment detail which I have turned down just a bit. If something hasn't been updated recently on one of the two main sites, check WoWAce for a more recent one there. There are often beta or alpha versions that can fix some huge problems. Make sure all of your addons are updated if possible. It was hard enough trying to rez and innervate people on our kill attempt after I reconnected because I had no raid frames! We're going to try Gunship on Monday after ToC 25, and I definitely do not want to play blind (aka no addons). I am hoping someone knows of something I can do to fix this. Also, Ventrilo still worked so I could call out to my guild that I was DCing. My husband wasn't in the raid, but was also playing on another server and had no problems, so it's not the router. I was also the ONLY person in the raid who was disconnecting. I do have my visual settings turned up pretty high I didn't try playing with that. I don't use QH or Carbonite or GearScore. I disabled Recount a while ago when I was getting the lockups, and am trying out Skada. Now I run pretty addon heavy, but I don't think I run any of the really chattery addons.
I haven't had this problem at all in ToC 25, or in ICC 10. Finally for the last 2 tries, they put me on the add in the back at my request (which, of course, spawned every time, and I still had disconnects). This was particularly a problem because I was a tank on one of the sides. It happened a few times on trash, and then happened on just about every Deathwhisper try, and we had 7 until we got her down. I had one on Marrowgar, and we downed him in 3 tries.
